There’s a common misconception in the social media world that if you’re “posting consistently,” you’re doing it right. That if your feed looks good, people will find you. That if you just keep showing up, the results will follow. That’s not how strategy works. This...
Meet Christina: Monarch’s First Brand Host
At Monarch, we’re always looking ahead, especially when it comes to how brands show up on social media. One of the biggest gaps we’ve seen is the need for a visible, consistent presence that isn’t tied to the founder or team. That’s why we’re introducing a new kind of role: the brand host.
This is someone who understands trends, brings clarity to short-form video, and becomes the human connection between a brand and its audience. It’s strategic, professional, and essential for brands that want to scale their content without over-relying on internal team members.
We’re piloting the role of a brand host with Christina. Here’s why we think she’s the right person to lead the way.
How Christina Got Started
“During the pandemic, I didn’t have an Instagram at all. I reinstalled it to connect with people again. My girlfriends and I had this thing called Camp Quarantine. Every week, we had a camp leader who introduced a theme, and everyone had to be creative and post their own image. The winner would be announced and get a point.
One theme was Animal Kingdom. I posted a photo of myself on my bed with all my stuffed animals and my cat. I won that one. It was so fun to execute, and I realized I had a creative side I had been suppressing and not acknowledging.”
She started exploring that creativity more intentionally.
“I’m also a social worker, and that work is incredibly meaningful. It can also get really dark. It was important for me to have a healthy work-life balance and explore my creative side. I saw the value of being in community, expressing myself, and discovering that there are no limits to creativity. That’s refreshing.
I’ve also really benefited from seeing other creators who are Asian or queer. Representation matters. As my community grew, things started to fall into place.”
Why Brand Hosting?
When we first started exploring the brand host concept, Christina had already been thinking about it and pitching it.
“I thought it would be really cool to have a recognizable face that people can connect to. With my acting background and social work experience, I feel like I’m able to really speak to an audience and emphasize tone of voice, facial expressions, and overall delivery. It all works together.
When I pitched the idea before, I don’t think people really understood it. I don’t think it’s been clearly defined as a role yet.”
That’s why we’re defining it now. Together. Backed by data and results.
Her Approach and Values
What Christina brings to the role isn’t just presence on camera. It’s integrity, self-awareness, and a strong sense of purpose.
“I want people to know what my values are: living in a way that’s authentic to you, being in community with others, and being present. My message to people is to be who you are. There is no limit to who you are, and you are wonderful.
I’ve gone through severe mental health challenges, and it has taken a lot to discover that living in a peaceful state is actually possible. I want people to know that even if they’ve gone through difficult things, there is light. These things are possible.”

What Happens Next
Over the next three months, Christina will lead our Friday trend breakdowns and appear in short-form content that speaks to our audience of social media professionals and business owners. This is a pilot program, and our goal is to develop it into a scalable model for ethical creator-brand collaboration.
Christina understands the balance of strategy and storytelling. She brings a grounded voice, a thoughtful approach, and a new kind of clarity to our content.
We’re proud to introduce her as our first brand host, and we’re excited for you to get to know her.
